喜欢唱歌、表演，梦想着有朝一日登上大舞台的农村青年祥子（王兆祥 饰）为了把梦想变成现实，背着吉他，只身一人从家乡来到了上海。而前行的道路非常曲折，在大城市里他感觉到自己的渺小和前路的渺茫，但乐观豁达的祥子都一一咬牙坚持的下来。在拼搏的过程中，祥子邂逅了许多善良的人们。其中有单亲妈妈胡桃（宣萱 饰），她在一番波折下当上了记者，独自一人照顾患有自闭症的女儿；有曾经的著名电视台主持人，现在退居幕后的制片徐子墨（吴启华 饰），因为妻子的事业发展的很好，让子墨的自尊心受到了不小的打击，当看到祥子时，子墨的爱才之心让他想帮助这个拼搏的青年。
